I just thought I'd put up a link to a video I found very interesting, especially given our I-95 Project. The site is called 'La Cartoteca' and you want to scroll down a little till you see the embedded video called 'Paper city'. Before I came back to University I worked as an Archaeological Surveyor/Cartographer and I am still very interested in how we visualise our environment in terms of maps, both mental and Cartesian. I really enjoyed how this film portrayed a changing urban environment with a mixture of stop-gap animation with a sort of warped remote sensing (satellite or aerial) perspective.
